The passage of Scripture in Luke 12:16-21 is often referred to as the Parable of the Rich Fool! Jesus said: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops. Then he said, This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. I’ll say to myself, You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. But God said to him, You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself? This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
Would you like to know what the number one thing the richest men on the planet think about, literally 24/7? Men like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerburg, and those worldwide? Making more money? Building the world’s biggest yacht? Buying a small country and having a state of the art doomsday bunker for them and their family in preparations for a nuclear disaster? How to give away most of their vast fortune to secure a legacy? Buying a sports team, priceless art, or something else that interests them? All of those would be good guesses, but all would be wrong. No my friend, the number one thing that keeps the world’s richest people up at night is how to live forever, how to never die, how to be immortal! Obsession with immortality would be an understatement!
As an aside, in September of last year Russia’s Vladimir Putin visited China. In a walk with Chairman XI, a hot mic picked up a snippet of their private conversation where they were discussing the great advances in modern medicine and how it might be possible for man to never die! The fact is rich and powerful men throughout the 6,000 years of human history have had an innate desire to try and find ways to live forever, to never die, and of course have failed in their efforts!
The focus of the richest men on the planet to live forever is guided by the incredible advancement of modern medicine that is helping people today to live longer, even if it is just a few years. There is extensive research into many unique scientific experiments that would blow your mind regarding different ways to help a person to live without dying. These men from around the world with tens of billions of dollars don’t reject any potential hypothesis to make immortality possible, pouring tens of millions of dollars into this type of research.
I sure wish they would have contacted me. With a small fraction of the money they are investing in this desire to live forever, Liveprayer could create a global operation that would reach every living man, woman, and child on the planet at least 100 times in the next year with the Gospel and see a worldwide revival that would rival the non-stop efforts of satan to lead those same souls to eternity in hell!
I would sit down with them and share what the Bible says in Genesis Chapter 1 thru Genesis Chapter 2 verse 3. This explains how God created everything that exists in the universe, including mankind. I would than share with them Genesis Chapter 2 verse 17 that is God’s ONLY commandment to man, “but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” I would than share with them what God says in Genesis Chapter 3, about how man disobeyed God and ate from the tree of knowledge. I would go back and focus on verse 22 where the Bible tells us, “And the LORD God said, The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
The summary is simple. God is the creator of ALL things, including mankind. God created man in His own image to live forever. He gave man just one commandment and told him the punishment for disobedience would be death. Man made the free will choice to disobey God and God banished him from the Garden of Eden to prevent him from eating from the tree of life so he would not live forever.
The bottom line is like in the Parable of the Rich Fool, it is foolish for man to try and live forever. Physical death, along with spiritual death as Adam’s sin has been imputed to all men thereafter, is the punishment for man’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden. While their extraordinary efforts may allow them to live a few extra years IF they stay in perfect health throughout their lives, immortality, living forever, is the dream of fools!
Obviously at this point, I would finally talk to them about how they CAN live for eternity and it is a gift available to all without price! God gives each man an eternal soul at the moment of conception. Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden broke man’s spiritual connection to God His Creator, and only faith in Jesus who God sent to this world to redeem fallen man can repair that connection. It is faith in Jesus and Jesus alone that allow fallen men to have his sins forgiven and enjoy eternity with God his Creator!!! Plan of Salvation: https://www.liveprayer.com/salvation.cfm

***April Financial Update***
Praise the Lord! Thanks to the prayers and sacrifice of many friends along with a special gift, we have covered our March shortfall AND our April ministry operations one week early!!! WE SERVE A GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD!!!
The Bible teaches us to “give according to our ability to give.” For some that may be $10 or $20. For others it may be $50 or $100. Still others it may be $200, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or more. God will bless your gift no matter the amount.
Also, don't forget a gift of $1,800 covers one day of ministry at Liveprayer. I received this email recently, “Pastor Bill, My wife and I have just sold our last rental and God told us to tithe $1,800.00 to pay for a day of your ministry. Not looking for accolades, just that you know when you receive the check. Rest assured that we will still be making our regular weekly tithes."
To give a gift to Liveprayer you can use your major credit card at: http://liveprayer.com/donate.cfm or you can mail your gift to: Liveprayer, 6662 46th Ave. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33709. All gifts to Liveprayer are 100% tax deductible!

*By the way I have been seeking the Lord since the start of this year for God to lead someone He has blessed richly to make a legacy gift of $15,000,000 to Liveprayer. That would insure that when God decides to call me home Liveprayer will continue to impact lives and lead lost souls to faith in Jesus for a minimum of 20 years. Please stand in agreement with me for the Lord to raise up that person!
*Live on after you are in Heaven!!! By remembering God's work here at Liveprayer in your will/estate planning, you can still help me share His Truth with the masses, be here for people in their time of greatest need, and help lead the lost to faith in Jesus even after God has called you home!!! God has led many of our friends in the Liveprayer family to remember His work here in their will. Please pray about this opportunity to continue and partner with me in the Lord's work at Liveprayer, even after you are enjoying your rewards and the eternal peace of Heaven! "...strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said." Acts 14:22
Remain true to the faith. Along our journey of faith, God knows when we need encouragement, when our flesh is weak and we need to be challenged to press on. I am no different than you or any other man.
I have my times of weakness, my moments of doubt, those days when the battles are simply too fierce. Satan is only too happy to seize those moments as he did when Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days and nights.
He comes to tempt me, acting as my friend who is concerned about my well-being, giving me all the justification I need to take my eyes off the prize. This is how satan will come to you as well. Listen to me carefully.
SATAN IS A LIAR! HE IS NOT OUR FRIEND! HIS GOAL IS TO KILL, STEAL AND DESTROY....YOU AND ME!!! Several months ago a dear friend sent me an excerpt from the writings of that great preacher and theologian from the 1800's Charles Spurgeon. As God's timing is always perfect, it came at a moment when I needed some encouragement.
The weight of the work was extremely heavy and the flesh weary that day. I sat at my desk and read Spurgeon's' words and tears literally ran down my cheeks as I was read about my life, my battles, my challenges in his poignant words.
I have printed out that passage he wrote and keep it with me. I refer to it often since it so perfectly sums up my life. It also perfectly sums up the life of any follower of Christ who is sold out to serve the Lord until their dying breath.
I want to share those powerful words with you today. I pray that they will inspire and encourage you as much as they have me so many days. They really sum up what this journey is all about. There is perhaps no greater challenge we have as followers of Christ than to remain true to the faith.
So many over the years have been like Demas who we read about in the Book of Acts. Demas was a man serving God, but decided to turn back to the world. In those moments of temptation I often think back to the words of Peter.
When asked by Jesus if he would turn away from the Lord Peter boldly responded in John 6:68, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life!" That is why the child of God presses on, remains true to the faith. To whom shall we go?
Spurgeon writes: "Perseverance is the badge of true saints. The Christian life is not a beginning only in the ways of God, but also a continuance in the same as long as life lasts. It is with a Christian as it was with the great Napoleon: he said, "Conquest has made me what I am, and conquest must maintain me." So, under God, dear brother in the Lord, conquest has made you what you are, and conquest must sustain you. Your motto must be, "Excelsior." He only is a true conqueror, and shall be crowned at the last, who continueth till war's trumpet is blown no more. Perseverance is, therefore, the target of all our spiritual enemies. The world does not object to your being a Christian for a time, if she can but tempt you to cease your pilgrimage, and settle down to buy and sell with her in Vanity Fair. The flesh will seek to ensnare you, and to prevent your pressing on to glory. "It is weary work being a pilgrim; come, give it up. Am I always to be mortified? Am I never to be indulged? Give me at least a furlough from this constant warfare." Satan will make many a fierce attack on your perseverance; it will be the mark for all his arrows. He will strive to hinder you in service: he will insinuate that you are doing no good; and that you want rest. He will endeavour to make you weary of suffering, he will whisper, "Curse God, and die." Or he will attack your steadfastness: "What is the good of being so zealous? Be quiet like the rest; sleep as do others, and let your lamp go out as the other virgins do." Or he will assail your doctrinal sentiments: "Why do you hold to these denominational creeds? Sensible men are getting more liberal; they are removing the old landmarks: fall in with the times." Wear your shield, Christian, therefore, close upon your armour, and cry mightily unto God, that by His Spirit you may endure to the end."
AMEN...AMEN....AND AMEN!!!
I love you and care about you so much. I pray today that you will pray over these powerful words, reading them over and over. They sum up so eloquently the challenge of remaining true to the faith. The challenge to not turn away from serving the Lord after a season to go back into the world.
The temptation to indulge the flesh. The lies that the work you do for the Lord is all in vain and makes no difference. The physical battle of fighting weariness and fatigue. The war against apathy and political correctness. These are all very real issues those who serve the Lord must face along their journey through life as they strive to remain true to the faith.
I pray today that these words will challenge and encourage you in your personal journey. It is our steadfastness and perseverance that satan will assail. A Christian does not scare satan, however, a Christian who is steadfast and perseveres no matter what life throws his way is the enemy's worst nightmare!
I hear every day from people who tell me they have followed the exploits of Liverpayer over these many years and have been encouraged by the fact no matter what challenges come our way we keep pressing forward, faithfully serving the Lord and trusting Him each step of the way, and then see the incredible fruit from that steadfastness and perseverance.
I try my best daily to set an example for you that Jesus has already won the victory, our responsibility is to simply remain true to the faith!
In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
