DAILY DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY JULY 9, 2026

(Matthew 6:17-18)

***Personal Message For You From Bill Keller***

Matthew 5:11-12 says, "Blessed are ye when they may reproach and persecute you, and say every wicked thing against you, lying, for my sake. Rejoice and exult, for your reward is great in the heavens; for thus have they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

***Prayer***

Dear Lord, help me to draw near to You this day. I want to feel Your presence in my life and Your loving arms. I acknowledge that I need You every moment of every day oh Lord, and whatever I can do to enjoy that close, intimate relationship with You, let me do it! In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

Be in prayer today! There are several major foreign policy issues that we need God to guide President Trump in his decisions. Iran, the war between Ukraine and Russia, our NATO relationship, Greenland, and Spain.

As for Spain, their refusal to even allow us to use our own bases there during the Iran conflict and their failure to pay NATO dues has created a major friction with the United States. President Trump has announced he wants to end trade with Spain which really doesn’t affect the United States at all, but would be devastating for the Spanish economy. My guess is they will apologize to not lose their ability to access our market. Be praying about this issue.

Greenland is not a strange Trump fascination. It is rooted in US national security and the security of our Hemisphere. Greenland is a very strategic location militarily. China and Russia both would love to control Greenland. Denmark, that in essence owns and operates Greenland doesn’t have the financial wherewithal to properly protect and use Greenland for military purposes. Currently most of the European countries and NATO allies led by France do not want the US to control Greenland, creating even more friction with the US. Pray that the US ends up with control of Greenland.

The relationship with NATO was strained since President Trump’s first term due to the fact the US carried a huge percentage of the financial load for NATO. President Trump demanded each NATO country put up 2% of their GDP, and has since upped that to 5%. Some have complied, some have not. The lack of support for the US during the Iran conflict significantly strained US relations with NATO. I personally believe we should end that relationship. It served a useful purpose in the aftermath of WW2, but we should no longer be the protectorate of Europe, especially when we are paying for it. Pray about our future with NATO.

I have long held that there will NEVER be peace between Ukraine and Russia until Zelenskyy, a puppet of rogue elements of our CIA and western intel is gone. I continue to hold that belief. President Trump basically appeased Zelenskyy by meeting with him in Turkey. Since retaking office he has not sent one dollar of US taxpayer dollars to Ukraine and there is no scenario that I can envision where he would. He has sold some US military weapons to the EU, who in turn have sent them to Ukraine. With the recent activity by the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Bureaus against Zelesnkyy’s 2 and many of his top allies, the time is ripe for the Ukrainian people to remove him and there is no doubt whoever the new President of Ukraine is will agree to a peace deal to end the war, the killing, in 24 hours. Please pray for Zelenskyy to be removed.

Lastly, the conflict in Iran has taken a major turn in the last 24 hours. Repeated violations of the agreement that led to a cease fire have resulted in the US being forced to respond militarily many times. It is clear President Trump has lost all patience with the hardliners in Iran who have no desire for a peace deal so Iran can rebuild and become a normal functioning country. We still have 50,000 troops and assets in the region, we can still continue to cripple them financially, so we will see how things unfold in the coming days. Oil prices have spiked by $10/barrel with the renewed military action, but there is more oil on the open market than ever before. Pray for our troops to be protected as they fulfill their missions, and pray that the hardline theocrats who have no desire for peace will be taken out of power. Amen!

***July Financial Update***

We ended June still with a shortfall of $15,000 from May and the $55,000 we required from our June ministry operations. So far we are down to the final $10,000 from May! I am praying that we can cover the balance of May shortfall in the next 24 hours so we can begin working on the $55,000 from June and then the $55,000 for July’s ministry operations.

That is $120,000 to end July with all of our ministry operation current. Traditionally each year we struggle during the summer months of June, July, and August, but am believing God this year we will have an ABUNDANCE! OUR GOD IS ABLE!!!

The Bible teaches us to “give according to our ability to give.” For some that may be $10 or $20. For others it may be $50 or $100. Still others it may be $200, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or more. God will bless your gift no matter the amount.

Also, don't forget a gift of $1,800 covers one day of ministry at Liveprayer. I received this email recently, “Pastor Bill, My wife and I have just sold our last rental and God told us to tithe $1,800.00 to pay for a day of your ministry. Not looking for accolades, just that you know when you receive the check. Rest assured that we will still be making our regular weekly tithes."

*By the way I have been seeking the Lord since the start of this year for God to lead someone He has blessed richly to make a legacy gift of $15,000,000 to Liveprayer. That would insure that when God decides to call me home Liveprayer will continue to impact lives and lead lost souls to faith in Jesus for a minimum of 20 years. Please stand in agreement with me for the Lord to raise up that person!

*Live on after you are in Heaven!!! By remembering God's work here at Liveprayer in your will/estate planning, you can still help me share His Truth with the masses, be here for people in their time of greatest need, and help lead the lost to faith in Jesus even after God has called you home!!! God has led many of our friends in the Liveprayer family to remember His work here in their will. Please pray about this opportunity to continue and partner with me in the Lord's work at Liveprayer, even after you are enjoying your rewards and the eternal peace of Heaven! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me at: bkeller@liveprayer.com

Fasting has been one of the most misunderstood and misused practices in the Bible. The basic premise of fasting is giving up a normal daily activity as a sacrifice, to spend that time in prayer and seeking the Lord. It is NOT supposed to be a physical endurance contest to see how long you can go without eating.

Fasting is an act of sacrifice. It can be as little as skipping one meal, or not eating for 24 hours, or even three days. Fasting does not always have to be food. You can "fast" by not watching television for a period of time, or giving up any number of others things that you may do during the day. There is no magic formula.

Let me warn you that fasting can be very dangerous to your health! Anytime you fast over 24 hours you need to be very careful. I would strongly suggest that you contact your doctor to make sure you do it correctly. The reason you fast is to sacrifice the nourishment to your body and spend that time nourishing your soul.

It is a way to focus solely on the Lord and to seek Him. Often fasting is done at times when there are major needs and you need to really zero in spiritually on the Lord, seeking Him for answers. I routinely fast one day a month, but during major events or times of great need, I will fast for 72 hours and try to spend much of that time just in prayer. I keep living my normal life, but use the time I would normally be eating to spend time with God.

Fasting does not make you more spiritual than someone who does not fast. It is not a way to prove how spiritual you are. Again, it is a simple act of sacrifice to spend that time in prayer with the Lord. It allows you to hear God more clear. It is a time to really get serious about praying over a certain situation or circumstance. It is a sacrifice on your part to get closer to God.

I would suggest that if you never fasted before, start with one meal. Use the 20-40 minutes that you would normally be eating, go to a quiet place and just pray. Talk to God about those things in your life He needs to clean up. Talk to God about problems that only He can fix. One powerful way to use fasting is fast and spend that time in prayer for someone else. Sacrifice that meal and spend the time praying for the needs of someone else. That is powerful!

Let me challenge you today. Take the opportunity this weekend to fast one meal. Just one meal. Use the time you would normally be eating, to spend that time in prayer. Pray for your family and the needs of your family. Pray for your friends. Pray for your neighbors. Pray for our nation. Please, pray for me and God's work here at Liveprayer. I promise you that you won't miss the meal, and you will be richly blessed in your time alone with the Lord!

I love you and care about you so much. Fasting is a great way to make a minor sacrifice in our daily life to get closer to the Lord. One day, all of those who have accepted Jesus will spend eternity with Him. Fasting is a small way that we can take a few moments during this life to enjoy that intimate closeness with our Lord.

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
