THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN PRAYING AND THOSE WHO WERE LED TO HELP ME WITH A GIFT AT THIS CRITICAL TIME. By the grace of God we are still here as have been faithfully for the last 27 years! Here is where we are at on this 3rd day of September!

Most important, we received emails from 83 souls who accepted Jesus as their Savior by faith Monday on our 27th anniversary, just like we do virtually every day! IF LIVEPRAYER SHUTS DOWN TODAY THOSE 83 SOULS WILL BE FOREVER IN HEAVEN WHEN THEIR BRIEF JOURNEY OF LIFE IS OVER!!!

*We received $10,000 of the critical $15,000 we require immediately still leaving the last $5,000 from June that we need to celar up ASAP!!! If you can put a special gift on your credit card, or if you can wire the funds to our account today, that would be a huge help at this critical time!!!

That $5,000 finishes off June. Today, Thursday the 3rd we require $10,000 of the $55,000 from our July ministry operations and another $15,000 from July’s shortfall tomorrow Friday the 4th for a total of $25,000 from July’s shortfall. That $30,000 takes the immediate pressure off of this critical place we are in.

Please be praying if you have sold some property, a business, had a financial windfall of some sort but haven’t tithed on that windfall, please pray about planting that seed in the proven good soil of Liveprayer at this critical time! Dear Lord, YOU are my provider. You know my daily needs. You promised to care what I need each day for life....food, shelter, clothing. I put my trust in You. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and I come to You today to thank You for providing for my needs in the past, and knowing my needs today. Today, I come to You, asking You to meet those needs as I glorify You for Your provision. In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

***The Daily Liveprayer TV Nugget***

Christians love a redemption story since it is the story of our faith! Every follower of Jesus has their own redemption story since we were all lost in our sin and were redeemed by Christ when we asked His forgiveness and surrendered our life to Him by faith! So it was largely Christians who supported the rise over the past few years of country and Gospel music artist Jason Bradley DeFord, better known as Jelly Roll!

The endless tattoos, including all over his face, of this large bearded man speaks to a hard early life. Starting at age 14 through his late 20s, Jelly Roll was in and out of juvenile facilities and prison 40 times. His demon like so many was drugs. His crimes were all linked to his drug habit.

Jelly Roll who is now 41 years old, never hid his criminal past. Instead, he shared his past life as a testimony to the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. He attended a small Tennessee church as a child, but it was in prison that he began really reading the Bible. During the Grammy’s this past February, Jelly Roll was on stage holding a Bible and very publicly declaring his faith in Jesus. Over the past few years Jelly Roll has sung songs about God’s grace and Jesus into his mainstream country songs.

A few months ago, Jelly Roll and his wife of 10 years Bunny announced they were getting divorced. Bunny, an ex-sex worker who had created a very popular podcast, was also very public about her Christian faith. Sadly, the entertainment world is a very difficult life to have a normal marriage and family. By God’s grace many have successfully navigated that life, though they are clearly the exception.

Despite his public divorce, Jelly Roll did major damage to his career that had nothing to do with his failed marriage. During Jimmy Kimmel’s 2 months absence, Jelly Roll hosted his late night program last week. On the very first night he read what the writers wrote for him, calling President Trump a fat pig. His attacks on the President continued throughout his week of hosting the program.

His attacks outraged many in his fan base, and rather than backing down Jelly Roll DOUBLED DOWN! He told anyone who was “MAGA” that they didn’t have to listen to his music any longer. In less than a week he has lost hundreds of thousands of social media followers. The “woke” liberals who cheered him on as he attacked President Trump have been silent, not coming to his defense. The fallout has all been negative and he did major damage to his career last week that he many never recover from.

Christians are the most forgiving people since the Bible teaches us to forgive others as Christ forgave us. As I stated earlier, Believers love a redemption story because we can all relate. However, Christians have little patience for phonies, or people who use faith in Christ simply for fame and money. Sadly, while I am sure Jelly Roll will always have an audience, he has lost credibility with his Christian fan base and may never get that back.

I am sad, since The Lord could have used Jelly Roll and his testimony to reach many who lived a hard life like he did. He could reach people thru his life story and music someone like myself or others in the ministry couldn’t. Pray for him, his now ex-wife, and that most important they both come back to their faith in Christ and allow the Lord to use their lives to impact the lost and hurting.

The ultimate goal of every follower of Christ is to become more like Him each day. We read about how Jesus lived His life. We study the way He handled different situations. We carefully dissect His words. The whole point is to become more like Him. The popular phrase, “What would Jesus do?” helps to remind us that during our busy days when we face decisions, we should stop and ask, “What would Jesus do?”

You see, Jesus came to this earth and lived as a man. He walked the same roads we walk. He saw the same things we see. He felt the feelings we have. While remaining 100% God, He was also 100% man and comprehends what we go through in our day-to-day lives. Because of His virgin birth, He was born without sin and then proceeded to live His life without sin. He set the example for all of us to follow. He gave us the standard by which we all should be striving to live up to each day. By living like He did, we make our Lord proud of us.

Many see this as an unrealistic goal. While in our own strength I agree; however, when we are living in His strength, it becomes very real. You see, when Jesus left this earth, He promised a Comforter, someone to come alongside to help. That promise was fulfilled on the day we celebrate Pentecost with the Advent of the Holy Spirit.

One of the benefits of accepting Jesus Christ into your life is to receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives you power to live beyond yourself when you are yielded to that power. The Holy Spirit is what brings you under conviction when you are not living a life pleasing and acceptable to the Lord. It is the Holy Spirit who enables you to live a Christ-like life, thus making Jesus proud of you.

The person and power of the Holy Spirit has been the subject of much poor teaching. I am not going to get into any theological debates over this issue, and will instead stick strictly to what the Bible clearly teaches. At that moment of being “born again,” you receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. There are Biblically-documented gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit now available to those who will allow the Spirit of God to rule and reign in your life.

It is the Spirit of the living God now residing with you that gives you the supernatural power to love your enemies, forgive those who harm you, overcome the trials of day-to-day life, defeat sin in your life, and know God's love in ways you never experienced before. It is the Holy Spirit who guides and directs you throughout the day, to keep you on the path God has chosen for your life. It is only because of the Holy Spirit, that we can live like Jesus did, and make Him proud of us.

I love you and care about you so much. You will be in my prayers today as you think about these words. The most effective way to make Jesus proud of you is to live like He did. In today's scripture, we see Stephen being stoned to death and asking God to forgive those who were killing him. This is exactly what Jesus did on the cross. It was only because of the power of God living in Stephen that he was able to do that.

Was Jesus proud? There is no other place in scripture that says Jesus was standing. Search the Bible. It always says Jesus was sitting. Why was Jesus standing in this instance? I believe it was because He was so proud of his servant Stephan that He actually stood to welcome him into Heaven. My challenge to you today is to act like Jesus and to make Him proud of you.
