DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY MAY 5, 2024

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I have strayed from You and want to come home. I have allowed the daily life in this world to lead me astray, to allow me to drift from You, and I miss You dear Lord! Today, I recommit my heart and life to You and to serve You. Use me for Your glory Lord. Make my life count for Your Kingdom. Above all, bring to me Your PEACE and JOY! Give me the joy of my salvation again as I walk close to You each moment of each day. In Jesus name I pray...AMEN!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: In the midst of the anti-Israel, pro-Hamas, hate the USA protests taking place around the country, we have seen numerous examples of young men and women standing up to these anarchists by carrying the American Flag and singing the National Anthem! Often when they finish the Anthem they will break out chanting USA, USA, USA! Praise God for their courage and boldness to confront the evil of those who want to see our nation destroyed! These brave patriots serve as an example for followers of Christ. Every day the minions of satan rise up and boldly proclaim their lies, mostly unchallenged. Today I want to encourage those who know Christ as your Savior. Be like those who love their nation to the point they are willing to confront evil head on. We know satan is a liar and a loser. We know his lies are designed to fulfill his purpose to “kill, steal, and destroy!” While they spew the lies of death and destruction, we must boldly proclaim God’s Truth of life and a life of abundance. Christianity is NOT a spectator sport, but each believer must actively live out their faith each day as they proclaim HIS Truth to this lost and hurting world!!! AMEN!

***MAY FINANCIAL UPDATE: Praise God! Thanks to many of our friends who have prayed and those who stepped up in the last week to help me with a gift I say Thank You! We ended April with our March shortfall down to the final $15,000 plus the $55,000 we required for our April ministry operations for a total of $70,000 heading into May.

I am praying we can clear up that $70,000 shortfall in the first week of May so we can begin working on the $55,000 for our May operations. GOD IS ABLE!!!

The Bible teaches us to “give according to our ability to give.” For some that may be $10 or $20. For others it may be $50 or $100. Still others it may be $200, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or more. Pray and the Lord will guide you as you make your sacrifice!

It is Sunday morning. So many of us from time to time in our lives get caught up in a rebellious lifestyle that leaves us empty, hurting, knowing what we must do, but not doing it. It would have been so much easier if God would have just not given us "free will" to make our own decisions. Then everything we did would be in accordance with His will and His plan for our lives. But the fact is He did give us the ability to make our own choices, and in so doing, has given us the ability to live at times in total rebellion to what we know in our hearts is how He wants us to live.

Many of you are very uncomfortable reading this devotional this morning, because it is bringing automatic conviction to you and where you are at in your life. God loves you. He cares about you. He only wants the best for you. That is why He is trying to get your attention before it gets any worse. You see, sin is like quicksand, the longer you are it, the deeper you get, and the more difficult it is to get out. Many of you were not in church Sunday because the things in your life have so separated you from God, that you can't even be near His presence. Like Adam after his sin in the garden, you are hiding.

Life is not easy, and I am not here to judge you. I have enough problems in my own life to be judging others. But I am here to encourage you. God has made a way back for you today. If you are tired, can't deal with the pressure any longer, sick of the direction your life has taken, the Lord is speaking to you this morning,"come home".

Much like the prodigal son who was at the very lowest depths of despair, somehow he heard the voice that told him to "go home". When he arrived, he found a father not ready to punish him, but love him. Not ready to chastise him, but restore him. Your Father is waiting for you today, with outstretched arms of love, simply saying to you this day . . . "come home".

I love you and care about you so much. I pray for you today, especially those caught up in some things you shouldn't. You know it isn't working. You know that things are a mess. You are tired of running, tired of hurting, tired of being tired. There is an answer. There is a way. God is calling you right now, to simply "come home to Him".

The problems don't go away, the consequences of your actions don't magically disappear. But by coming home, you start to deal with the issues, put them behind you, and become restored into fellowship with your God who loves you, and slowly, see the joy and peace and happiness return to your life.

Trust Him today, and "go home". I love you and will pray for you!!!
